Equities - Factor Tilt

Small Cap Value

Why Invest in Small Cap Value?

An equity class that provides similar long term growth as other equities but is less correlated to Large Cap Growth.

Implementation Strategy

VBR is the oldest, largest, and cheapest fund, but style boxes indicate it is not as small or 'valuy' as VIOV or AVUV. VIOV tracks smaller companies. AVUV is a lightly managed factor-focused ETF with a low expense ratio that actively targets profitability and deep value. Avoid RZV as its fund size is very small, creating a potential risk of fund closure.

Tax & Account Location Guidance

Tax-Efficient: Can be held in taxable accounts or IRAs due to qualified dividends and no capital gains for ETFs.
